Our technical team have scoured the multitude of International battery manufacturers and tested a wide range of lithium battery options.

We have identified what we think is the best lithium battery option for everyone looking for a replacement battery for old lead based units or for a cost effective battery bank for a suitable new system.

These batteries are suited to replace any of the older lead batteries, typically found in off-grid systems. They are not specifically suited to grid-tied or “hybrid systems” if you have one of these systems please get in touch and we can give you advice of the best options for that purpose.

As these are 12V batteries they can suit 12,24 or 48Volt DC solar systems or uses such as motor homes, boats, etc.

The benefits of the PowerStation PS2500 LiFEP04 battery technology are:

  • LONG Life, the design life of these batteries is 6000 cycles at 80% DoD and 3000 Cycles at 100%. This means that if you set your system to only discharge to 80% you should get 6,000 days use if you discharge 80% once a day. This is fairly typical use for most of our existing off-grid systems.

  • Greater power capacity due to 80% DoD. As these can be discharged down to 80% you get LOTS more usable power. For example a 48V bank (typical for most systems) will give you 8.14kWh of usable power compared to 4.9kW of same size lead batteries at a 50% Dod and even more than old AGM or Gell batteries set at 30% DoD. For more power add 8 batteries to DOUBLE power to 16.28kWh, or 12 batteries for 24.42kWh.

  • Blue tooth monitoring app allows you to check on all battery parameters easily using the free App.
